BUSINESS OWNERS ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

A select group of local business people were treated to an absorbing morning of online marketing knowhow at Cinnamon Edge’s first Challenge Workshop in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday, in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.

The workshop, the first in a series planned by local marketing experts Cinnamon Edge, included priceless information on how your website can make money instead of costing you money, how to get Google to send customers straight to your door, how to totally dominate your market and how to become an ‘authority’ in your area of expertise.

Jacqui Carrel and Roy Everitt, partners at Cinnamon Edge, presented the workshop to an attentive audience, which also included representatives from Bury St Edmunds Chamber of Commerce and St Nicholas Hospice itself.

Billed as the first Challenge Workshop, it was part of the firm’s contribution to the Towergate Accumulator Challenge, through what Cinnamon Edge has dubbed ‘The Fifty Quid Challenge’.

Afterwards, attendees described the event as ‘excellent and very well presented’, ‘fantastic’ and, ‘a great training workshop’.

Roy Everitt was pleased with how it went and was especially thrilled to be able to contribute to the hospice through the Towergate Challenge.

‘We’ve been planning some workshops for local business owners for a while, and the Towergate Challenge was a great incentive to finally find the time to do it’, he said, and added, ‘We really wanted to help local businesses, but contributing to the hospice as well made it doubly worthwhile.’

Online marketing is not Jacqui and Roy’s only area of expertise but they have become known as the local specialists.

The event raised about £400 for the hospice and Cinnamon Edge are happy to accept further donations through their dedicated website www.thefiftyquidchallenge.co.uk, which will be open for the duration of the challenge and for some time afterwards.

The bext workshop is planned to take place in September

Challenge Workshops 2010

Well, you may know we had to postpone the first Challenge Workshop scheduled for yesterday, 16 July.

We acquired a complete new business on Monday, which rather threw our planning out of the window!

But the workshop will still be held, probably in the first two weeks of August, on the theme of 'How to Dominate Your Local Market Online, Using Methods that 99% of Business Owners Don't Know About'.

All we ask is a donation for St Nicholas Hospice through our Fifty Quid Challenge site.

£50 will guarantee you a seat and pretty much guarantee you a head start over ALL your competitors!

Launching The Fifty Quid Challenge

Dear Suffolk business owner

I’m sure you’ve heard of St Nicholas Hospice Care, and I’m sure you’ll agree they do a wonderful job for the terminally ill and their families and loved ones.

You might not know that they also help bereaved people of all ages or that most of their patients are cared for as outpatients or in their own homes.

Recently we were privileged to be able to visit the hospice and learn more about the work they do, and we were surprised how pleasant, calm and cheerful it is there.Giving terminally ill people the degree of care and personal attention they need is very expensive, but the hospice itself takes just a fraction of St Nicholas’ overall costs. The other support services they provide cost far, far more, and the charity needs roughly £10,000 per day to supply these uniquely valuable services to our community.

That’s why we jumped at the chance to support St Nicholas Hospice Care by joining the Towergate Accumulator Challenge and why we believe you will want to help, too. And of course, as a marketing company we will be offering you a fantastic deal in return.

The best offer any company can make is one that’s too good to turn down, so that’s why we’re making you and a select few local businesses an absolutely irresistible offer.

You can associate your company with St Nicholas Hospice Care through the Towergate Accumulator Challenge simply by sponsoring one slot on our dedicated website at http://www.thefiftyquidchallenge.co.uk/.

We will then spend the next three months promoting the website in every way we know (and we know a lot) to bring visitors and potential customers to see your advertisement supporting the hospice and linking through to your website if you wish. We can help you create a simple ad for the slot if you need help with that.

It doesn’t stop there. Depending on the size of your sponsorship we’ll also give you other marketing services at no extra cost to you, including blogs, articles, press releases and even help with your website and in other parts of your business. In short, you can get a valuable marketing package, including a complete business consultation worth thousands of pounds, just for taking one of the top advertising slots on our dedicated website.

Meanwhile, we will continue to promote www.thefiftyquidchallenge.co.uk and all the advertisers on it by regular news releases, a dedicated social media campaign and through all our usual contacts. The Fifty Quid Challenge will also become a part of the Cinnamon Edge brand for at least the next three months. The more prominently your company is positioned on the Fifty Quid Challenge website, the more benefit you will get from its promotion.

That’s why there’s a sliding scale of suggested prices. Top positions will go to the highest bidders but donating the suggested sum will guarantee you that slot – even if someone then offers to pay more. We’re open to other offers, too, and of course we’ll accept straightforward donations.

We do, however, ask that you donate through us so we can win the Towergate Accumulator Challenge by raising more money than any of our competitors!

Go to http://www.thefiftyquidchallenge.co.uk/ to see what it’s all about.
